Purpose and Objectives The purpose and objectives of the New Carlisle Sportsmen's Club, shall be to encourage, teach, and actively support finer sportsmanship in all matters pertaining to the outdoor sports, with emphasis on hunting, and fishing, promote the conservation and restoration of our natural resources and ecology, with emphasis on wildlife, fish, and game and related habitat, promote and protect the interests of the sportsmen of New Carlisle and vicinity and do all things incidental thereto including the holdings, leasing, and owning of real estate for these purposes; actively support, as deemed necessary all matters of legislation and enforcement regarding wildlife, fish and game, and conservation affairs, give aid and assistance, where possible and to whomever to Achieve the above objectives. BIG NEWS!!! The club is in its 50th Anniversary year. For 50 years the New Carlisle Sportsman's club has been promoting the Hunting, Fishing, and Shooting sports. We are planning many activities for the year including a big weekend August 17th, 18th and 19th. More plans to follow but we will be encouraging the members to plan on camping out at the club for the weekend to not miss any of the activities. Kids Fishing Derby!!!We will be holding our 2012 Kids Fishing Derby Saturday June 9th from 1:00 to 3:00. Bring the kids, Grand kids, neighbor kid, all are welcome. The derby is open to all children 14 years old and younger. The more the better. Bring fishing pole, bait(no minnows), and join the fun. The event is free and we will have food drinks, trophies, and prizes. Saturday Shooting Matches This Saturday, May 19th, we will be shooting our 22 rifles match. The match will be 40 shots for score from the prone position with any sights including rifle scope. Plan to be there between 8:15 and 8:45 with the match starting at 9:00.
Sporting Clays This Thursday May 17th at 5:00pm we are starting up our Sporting Clays. Fred said we will run it until all shooters are done so even if you, like myself, work until 5:00, come on out as soon as you can and enjoy the shoot. We haven't shot Sporting Clays in quite some time, so please come out and support your club and have some fun. Fred is planning a 50 bird program. We will be running this program every 1st and 3rd Thursday of each month throught the summer. This is open to the public so bring a family member or friend.
Trap Shoots We shoot Trap every Friday at 3:00pm and the 1st. & 3rd. Sundays of every Month at noon. These are fun shoots and all are welcome. Whether you are a first time shooter or an experienced shooter, you are all welcome. You do not need to be a member of the club to shoot with us. Matches are $4.00/round and we have discount cards for members. Pay for 10 rounds and get 2 rounds free. Now you have no excuse not to come out and join in the fun.
