Important Notices – Please Read

We are asking that all the members help police all the club rules; especially the rules about placing targets on the picnic tables and posting mid-range targets. It is not difficult; usually a polite reminder is all that is necessary.

The December general membership meeting will again include a Chili/Soup cook-off. The winner gets free dues for next year. The club will provide crackers, cheese, napkins and bowls.

We also will be voting on the new club officers and have a swap meet at the December meeting.

We will start using the new gate soon. If it is locked, the combination is the same as the clubhouse door.

Ballot Sent for the proposed Bylaw Changes

We just sent out a mailing with the following information enclosed.  The club printer is going out on us and the copies are hard to read.  We apologize and are planning to purchase a new printer before the next mailing.  Thank you for your understanding.

We have an amendment to the New Carlisle Sportsmen’s Club By-Laws. It reads:

Amend Article I, Section 3 – Eligibility for Holding Office to read:
To be eligible for nomination and election to an office in the club, the nominee must be a member in good standing for one calendar year. They must signify in advance a willingness to serve to the best of their ability at all times if elected by the membership. A member in good standing is one who is a permanent member, has been a club member for one (1) year since being voted in by the general membership, and whose dues are paid in full for the current membership year. Due to the extra responsibilities entrusted to the Treasurer in managing the club’s finances, applicants for the position will need to be interviewed by the executive board to insure proper ability to do the job and secure the club’s finances.

Amend Article V, Section 3 – Membership Fees and Dues to read:
Add the following as paragraph 3:
Serving on the Executive Board qualifies as service to the club equating to half of the annual dues. Serving as Secretary or Treasurer qualifies for a full dues waiver. Due to the increase in club membership and the extra time and responsibilities of the Secretary and Treasurer, they will be paid a stipend. This stipend is to be paid out in quarterly increments starting in March of each year. The stipend for the Secretary is $500 yearly at $125.00 per quarter. The stipend for the Treasurer is $999.00 yearly at $250 per quarter.

It has been read at the October and November Membership meetings. It will have its third reading at the December meeting and will be vote on at the meeting. If you cannot make the meeting, you can vote by mail, using this page. Indicate for or against below, include your name and address. Then, either mail the ballot to 1475 Folk Ream Rd, New Carlisle OH 45344 or drop the ballot in the black mailbox in the club house.
